Super Happy Terrific Products - Wiimote Cufflinks

I've said it before and I'll say it again (right now in fact), I wish I had more occasions to wear cuff links to. Because if I did, I would be sporting these classy numbers. Of course, I can think of many better ways to spend the $150 the Wiimote cuff links cost, like a bunch of Wii games for example, but I still want them. They can be yours now for $150 from CuffLinks.com.

Super Happy Terrific Products: Star Wars Flash Drive

I don't know about you but I always have a couple of flash drives handy for storing, backing up, or carrying digital data. While extremely practical, I can't say that any of my flash drives are stylish or fun. Which is why I'm so excited about these Series 2 Star Wars Mimobots from Mimoco.

The Star Wars Mimobot Series 2 Designer USB Flash Drives will be available in 1GB, 2GB, & 4GB capacities and come preloaded with bonus removable Star Wars content like soundBytes, applications, icons, avatars, screensavers, and wallpapers. The series 2 collection will include Princess Leia, Luke Skywalker, Han Solo, and Boba Fett with each Mimobot ranging in price from $50 to $110.

You can preorder a series 2 Mimobot here, which should arrive by February of 2008. If you can't wait that long, then check out one of the Series 1 Star Wars Mimobots that are currently available here.

Super Happy Terrific Products

After seeing these Bacon And Eggs Cufflinks, I really wish that I had more occasions to wear cufflinks to. Although, if that were the case, I would have to go out and buy a bunch of pricey French-cuff shirts or just poke holes through the cuffs of my American-cuff (is that such a thing?) shirts ala George Costanza. In any event, if you wear a lot of cufflinks and have $300 to drop at Barneys then you should definitely buy these.

Super Happy Terrific Products

I don't wear jewelry. Yes, I've gone through fazes that have included puka bead necklaces, silver rings, and even piercing my tongue (not all at once these were various fazes throughout my life). But I don't remember the last time I accessorized with anything other than a belt and pair of sunglasses unless it was part of a Halloween costume.

I just might have to end my jewelry ban after seeing this ring.

It's a stack of pancakes with a melted pat of butter on top and the whole thing is actually scented to smell just like real maple syrup covered buttermilk pancakes.
Sure its probably intended for Japanese teenage girls but who wouldn't want to smell like pancakes?

Super Happy Terrific Products

Apple just unveiled the new iPod - the iPod Touch, and I want one!

It basically does everything the iPhone does without the phone part. Also, it accesses the interwebs via a WiFi connection rather than cellular service like the iPhone or crackberry. There is an 8gb and 16 gb model with prices starting at 299, which considering all it does, doesn't sound that bad.

Super Happy Terrific Products

Judging by the picture this Mac-Tap is just a trade show gimmick but it's still nice to dream. I guess if you are handy and have an old Mac, you could make one of these yourself but that sounds like an awful lot of trouble for something you are going to quickly have to dispose of.

Looking for the perfect gift for the wino in your life? Then look no further than this handy dandy mobile wine bar.

Free that bottle of ripple from its brown paper sack when you choose to drink in the park with this super convenient wine accessory. It has everything the Boxcar Willie in your life could ever want including a wine fridge that doubles as a sleeping compartment (when empty), a bucket that could also be used as a wash basin, plenty of bottle and cup holders for when company calls under the bridge and even a cork screw for both opening bottles and guarding the hooch thanks to the convenient shiv apparatus.

this Fall, show how much you love that seedy scallywag in your life with the Mobile Wine Bar.

Super Happy Terrific Products

It's no secret that I'm a fairly unreasonable germophobe. I'll consistently go out of my way to avoid touching anything with my hands that may have been touched already by the general public. While I haven't reached Howard Hughes levels of insanity yet (I gingerly touch a bathroom door handle to get out rather than wait for someone else to open the door from the outside) I have no doubt that this phobia will only get worse as I get older.

Which brings us to today's Super Happy Terrific Products - the Handler!

Apparently this little hook dohicky is strong enough to pull open a door, press a toilet handle, touch the buttons on an A.T.M., etc. The product description also includes some falderal about being infused with nano silver particles which effectively kill 98% of all single-celled organisms (bacteria, viruses and fungi) on contact. Whatever.

Its usually sold on Amazon for $10.95 but appears to be out of stock right now. I'll keep checking back and let you know as soon as they are available.

In Case You Haven't Seen It Yet

David Pogue of the New York Times, reviews the iPhone. This video cuts out the goofy beginning he filmed and gets right to the good stuff.
I still have some unanswered questions before I'm sold but I've already started looking around the apartment for things to stoop sale in order to buy one.

Genius At Work #6

Occasionally I have ideas that I think can make the world a better place to live in. Lacking the manufacturing capabilities to bring my ideas to fruition, they usually go to waste in my mind. So I've decided to post my ideas here in the hopes that some mega corporation will stumble across them and throw bucket loads of cash at me to turn these ideas into reality. Of course, the mega corporations will probably just steal my ideas and screw me but at least I'll have the proof to back up my "hey that was my idea" rantings.

Personally, I find the whole concept of spending money on a device that simulates the experience of popping bubble wrap to be ridiculous and beyond unnecessary. However, I have to applaud the person that came up with the idea and actually convinced someone to invest and manufacturer the PuchiPuchi (pictured).

What makes the PuchiPuchi even more shocking, is that it is from the toy company, Bandai, makers of Power Rangers action figures and Tamagotchi pets. Perhaps PuchiPuchi signals a whole new direction for the toy company into the category of unnecessary crap. With that in mind, I'd like to pitch them my idea for the Stapleless Stapler Banger.

Is there anything more rewarding than stapling papers together with a forceful whack to your desk stapler? Of course there isn't! But what to do when you have nothing to staple together? Enter the Stapleless Stapler Banger! This device looks just like a conventional stapler but doesn't have any staples loaded, which allows you to bang away all day without wasting paper. Not only revolutionary, the Stapleless Stapler Banger is a great stress-reducing gizmo and will make the perfect gift for college grads who are stupid enough to take a job immediately following graduation.

Super Happy Terrific Products

Sorry for not posting all day. It was an insane day that capped off an insane week. I'm off tomorrow so I should finally be able to catch my breath and write a real post.

Until then, here is the most adorable hot dog cooking thingy. Because I'm sure you are just like me and think the oven or microwave just isn't cute enough.

Super Happy Terrific Products

I could start a new section on this blog that just covers insane USB devices and never run out of products to cover. The latest, and possibly craziest, USB device I have come across lately is the USB Butt Cooler from Japanese (big surprise) company, Thanko.

Apparently it is a pad that sits on your chair and gives off cool air. Of course the whole thing is powered by your computer through a standard USB hook-up. So say good buy to summer office swamp crotch and thank you to Thanko for the USB Butt Cooler.

Super Happy Terrific Products

Finally! The perfect gift for my smoking friends who have expressed an interest in quitting.

This jacket (pictured above) is actually an art project created by Fiona Carswell. The jacket contains an area that smokers can breathe their smoke directly into rather than exhaling into someones face or apartment (cough, cough, Jen & Kelly). The smoke then filters through the jacket into a pair of see-through lung images that immediately turn red and then gradually blacken over time.

Super Happy Terrific Products

I blogged about this on one of the sites I write for and had to share with all of you in case you haven't seen it yet.

It's a Darth Vader phone! When it rings, it plays Vader's Imperial March, which, for some reason is always stuck in my head when I walk down the street. Apparently Darth's head turns back and forth while the phone rings.

I know, I know - nerd alert! But I love goofy crap like this!

Super Happy Terrific Products

A few months ago I posted about the liquid decanting flip-flops or "booze-flops as I like to call them. Well check out these new additions to the James Bond Summer Fun line - secret compartment flip-flops. Whereas the idea of drinking something that came out of my shoe was both titillating and revolting, these little numbers actually look like a great idea. Just imagine being at the beach and not having to resort to the tip of your sneaker for stashing your valuables (Yes, we all know you put your money, license and keys in your shoe before running into the waves).

Super Happy Terrific Products

One of my life ambitions is to someday be an evil genius living in an incredible apartment at the top of a New York City building. This apartment would have a pool, helipad, movie theater, down-hill sky run and this folding bookshelf door.

Super Happy Terrific Products

For years Ive been scouring the emails and interwebs in search of things to buy. Now I'm sharing my finds with you here in Super Happy Terrific Products. It's just like the Home Shopping Network without the Network or Shopping.

Fire Table

Nothing says disaster like an open fire in the middle of your living room. For anyone looking for the camp-out convenience of a fire pit that matches their modern, danish decor, Fuego (British design firm) has the coffee table for you! At $1800-$2200 a piece this alcohol-based gel (think of a giant Sterno) doesn't come cheap but think how much money you will save by making your own smores.

Museum For The Masses

One of the few. Scratch that. One of the only joys of waiting for a subway train is looking at clever advertisement graffiti. I love seeing a perfectly beautiful, air-brushed picture of a model with a good old Sharpe mustache and eye-patch make-over. And that's why I love these printable cold sores. How funny are they?!

HomerBot

Wow Wee, makers of the Robosapien, just unveiled the Homerspaien at London Toy Fair. Granted, this is simply a plastic Homer Simpson head on a Robosapien body with Homer's iconic blue pants and white shirt paint job but it still looks pretty cool. Adding to the enjoyment, Homersapien will be packed with classic Homerisms and should be available in time for this summer's movie's release.
