It Just Keeps Coming
I woke up this morning and looked out the window to see more snow falling. I figured it would have ended over night since it started to taper off around 10 last night. That's when we went outside and built Pablo the Snowman.
I know, its a pretty bad attempt but we were cold and drunk and it looked good last night in the dark. If this snow keeps up, I'm going to build an entire Snowman army.

Snow Daze
We are slowly getting the study set up at the house. Eventually, this room will have a wall lined in book shelves and lots of heavy wood and leather chairs. For now, I've got my home office set up in the study with the fire going and I just looked out the window to see it's snowing ... again. It has been about four days since the last heavy snowfall so I guess I should have expected it. Thank god I bought a case of wine.
I'm not sure if you can see the snow in this picture but this is the view from the study.

Uh-oh, I better throw another log on the fire.

Here We Snow Again
Yesterday was the closest we have come to actually seeing the ground up here in the mountains. We haven't had any snow accumulate in weeks and it's actually been warm enough for what we had on the ground to melt. Until this morning! I woke up to see everything covered once again and the snow keeps on falling.

I'm not sure if you can see the snow falling in this picture but it's there! I better get into town and stock up on booze before I'm snowed in.

Living In A Winter Wonderland
It literally snowed all day yesterday up here in the mountains. From the time I woke up in the morning to the time I went to bed - it was snowing. It looks like we have about 6 inches of snow on the ground right now but I'm no meteoroligical expert.
Here is the view from our living room window.

Crazy, huh?
The best thing about living in the mountains (our town is in the foothills of the Berkshires) is that the people up here know how to handle the snow. The roads are plowed and everyone goes about there business as if nothing is covering the ground.
This much snow in Manhattan and everything would have come to a stop. Or at least, the Subway would probably shut down.

Good News!
I finally have the interwebs up and running and a land line at the new house! We still don't have cable TV but hopefully that will be remedied this weekend when the Direct TV folks get out here.
Otherwise, the unpacking and setting up home is coming along nicely. Even though we are just a little over two and half hours north of the city, the weather here is drastically different. We had close to two feet of snow fall last week and it's just staring to melt. Check out the following picture of my back yard to see what I'm talking about.

Hopefully now that I've got the "emails" I'll be getting back to a more regular posting schedule.
